As I prayed this morning, I was delighted to find myself simply thanking the Lord for all His many gifts, kindnesses, and mercies. I didn't ask Him for anything...didn't complain about anything...didn't even give Him any advice. I simply thanked Him for everything that came into my mind. And I have to say that I felt better than I had in some time. He tells us to be grateful, thankful, and remember all in prayer. And thank you for teaching your son to not only find the Lord's joy, but also how to rest in it. When we teach our children such lessons, we are strengthening the body of Christ - of which we are a part. It is then that they can teach us. A spiritual recycling, if you will. It's all about Him. Once I've said that - and truly believed that - then I can do nothing else but live it with my every breath. This is a biblical subject near and dear to my heart. While "world peace" will never fully be achieved on earth, all of us in the body of Christ must at least continue to make the effort to demonstrate the peace of Christ in our lives by walking in the unity of His Holy Spirit. May the Lord continually bless you as you share His word to those of us hungry for Him.

Eager to meet the Lord in the air,
Sister Audrie
1 Thessalonians 4:17Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1868298227183671861.post-46651249861402064872009-02-10T06:04:00.000-08:002009-02-10T06:04:00.000-08:00I saw the post this morning. Can't you imagine *them* jumping up and down with excitement over something the LORD had done? Slapping each other on the back; hooping and hollering? I can see it so clearly in my head.
And then when I pondered the message, I was blown away. Unity - yes - that's what's missing. It's missing in our families, in our homes, in our churches; sometimes it seems like we'll never attain it. I absolutely loved the Philippians 3:12 quote. How many times I must have read over that Scripture and completely missed the message. Now how redundant is that! But, you know what, I'm still glad to have that song coursing through my soul today. (With music please...) Rejoice in the LORD alway, and again I say Rejoice. Philippians 2:14-17 instructs us to "Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye hsine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain." Althought it may or may not be the right choice the Lord gives us the freedom to choose as he does with our souls. We have the ability to choose where we will go when it is our time to leave this earth behind. Praise the Lord we have his word to guide us and to inspire us to persuade the people towards salvation and see his wonderful blessings. Now that we have a new President our duty is to pray that the Lord guide him and that the Lord have mercy on his people. Let us all continue to pray the direction our nation will take these following years.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1868298227183671861.post-35703499199842762722008-11-03T07:58:00.000-08:002008-11-03T07:58:00.000-08:00Thank you for this inspiration and guidance on how...Thank you for this inspiration and guidance on how we can continue to study the Word of God and a chanllenge to do this daily. And no one can give a sister that kind of support like another sister can. As we all continue to struggle daily, I believe it is important to remember Proverb 27:17, "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." Sisters, I cannot tell you how many times my own iron has needed sharpening. Indeed, there is no substitute for God's own glorious Word, for it truly stands on its own.A Fruitful Vinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11809763848123218756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1868298227183671861.post-12106379415775860382008-11-01T16:53:00.000-07:002008-11-01T16:53:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.A Fruitful Vinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11809763848123218756noreply@blogger.com
